The 7 times table is a tricky times table to learn
However, by now children will have learnt the 3, 4, 5, 6, and 2 times tables and so, this will help them. Unfortunately, there are no wonderful tricks for learning the 7 times table. However, there are some tips to learning the 7 times table which should help children feel more confident. Firstly remember this…. 7 × 8 : 7 × 8 = 56. Just remember: 5, 6, 7 and 8 ( 56 is 7 x 8 )

Additionally, use what they know thus, 7 × 5 is the same as 5 × 7 = 35 .
7 x 2 is the same as 2 x 7. They already know the 2 times table. Also, when they learn the nine times table trick this will help with 7 x 9 = 63.

Get them to write down all the 7 times table they know. Consequently, this will build confidence and make them feel that this is not such a great task.
